Aluminium Hydroxide or Alumina Trihydrate (ATH, Al2O3·3H2O, or Al(OH)3) is an inorganic, basic, and insoluble-in-water material. The majority of Aluminium Hydroxide produced for commercial use, is manufactured by the Bayer process using bauxite. Alumina trihydrate (ATH) is well known in the industrial community as an inorganic flame-retardant (FR) additive used in many polymeric materials.
