The Persian celebration of the longest night of the year. On the winter solstice Iranians enjoy the pomegranate fruit originated in the land of our forefathers. Pomegranates remind us of the cycle of life and the rebirth; the purple skin symbolizing birth; and the bright red seeds the glow of life.
